What style(s) are used to format the vertical table of contents?
The second level entries are positioned with a tab, but I would like to move that tab a bit to the left. But I can't figure out what style is used to format the TOC in that view. Suggestions?

Turn on the style drawer. In the TOC layout, click on a table of content item. You will see that the table of content styles show up. You can change few things link font style, size, color and a few other thigs. And you can use the text inspector to change spacing. It's not very flexible, but that might do the trick.
I can access the text (and formatting) when I'm viewing the TOC in Landscape mode, but I can't seem to select anything when I'm viewing the TOC in Portrait mode.
Sorry, in portrait mode, the style for the TOC is a default style which you can't change. If your ibook is designed to be read in portrait, you shoudl try to use one of the new portrait-only templates available in IBA 2.0.
Thanks for your help. I guess I'm just spoiled by Adobe InDesign. I should know better than to expect too much from version 2 of any application!
