hi i just buy a cable for tv out for mi iphone 4 with ios 6.1 but doest not work the iphone recognizes the cable but no signal on the tv can someone helpme

iphone4 does not support mirror so the tv out cable will only display images on your tv when you are using an app which support tv like the build in video app
when that is started it should display out of the av port
and you of cause have to choose the input source on your tv to match
