ios 6.1 wifi problem

Hi,

hope someone can help. i have an iphone 4s that i got replaced from the apple store in oct 12 (as a result of a previous fault).

the problem with the wifi after update to ios6.1 last week. my phone wont connect at all to wifi and is sometimes completly greyed out. i have tried all the quick fixes. reset network settings, restore ect. it is a very intermitant fault and when it does connect its drops out very soon after i 'sleep' my phone.

i even resorted to putting my phone in the freezer for 10 mins and it actually worked and seemed to be much more efficient for about 12 hours.. this lead me to believe it was some sort of hardware fault and being out of the warranty period i couldnt take the phone back to apple for a replacement. but it seems that its happened to alot of people recently and wondered if there was a final solution that has worked for people. also if people think it is actually a software fault and will eventually be rectified.

thanks in advance for any help.

it annoys me, i had to replace my old hand set last oct and it has broken again. when you get a replacement they should give you another year warranty with the new handset. also cause im still in an 18 month contract with my carrier they should cover the phone for the life of the agreement.. whats the use of paying a phone bill if you cant use the phone if your in a contract and are paying for the phone they should honor there side by having a phone fit for purpose !!!!!

hope apple pull the finger out soon and get a fix !!!!😠

Experiencing the same problems, but when it comes to my FaceTime. Will be booking an appointment with the GeniusBar as Apple is very good at helping you fix your problem when you bring in your phone.

I suggest renewing the AppleCare every year for full coverage of your devices. The new warranty covers all damages, even if you drive over your iPhone and bring in the pieces. $99 plus another $50 charge for physical damage is a lot better than paying $$$ for constant repairs. And they give you a new phone every time! A llittle tedious, but I doubt you'd have a problem with every new phone they give you.
