Iphone 5 will not connect

My new iphone 5 will not connect to my new iMac 27" on bluetooth. The mac sees my phone but that is it. Also my wireless keyboard and mouse are very flaky. This was happening before and after 10.8.2 suplemental update. What else is there to do? Iwold like to transfer some photos I took.

Thanks

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.2), All apple software is up to date.

Hi tdavey51, welcome to the Apple Support Community.

Bluetooth problems can be related to the batteries you are using on your Keyboard & Mouse, The Apple Wireless Keyboard & Magic Mouse require batteries that give 1.5V constant, some cheaper batteries are not powerful enough or don't provide a constant voltage which causes the bluetooth connection to drop. I'd recommend changing the batteries to see if this clears the issue.

Regarding your iPhone 5, try powering it off and back on again (hold the sleep/wake button until you see slide to power off).

The easiest way to transfer photo's from your iPhone to the computer is either through iTunes into iPhoto if your iPhone is set up to sync to that machine, just connect it using the USB charge cable to the iMac - see http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12116 for more.

Alternatively you can e-mail the photo's to yourself or share them using Photo Stream and iCloud - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4486 and http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4486 will give you more info on this.
