My ipod classice doesn't show up in iTunes 11.

My iPod classic, 160gb, won't show up in iTunes since I upgraded to iTunes 11. I can see my ipod on my desktop but in iTunes all that shows is an eject button and no other trace of it. Is there a fix for this?
