iPad stolen need content back

A few weeks ago, my iPad was stolen. I have tried to restore my content from my iPad to another iOS device (iPod Touch). I have only been able to get back my apps and not my media files. However, when I researched on the internet, I have been informed time and time again that I am supposed to also get back all my pictures from my camera roll. I have called Apple several times about the problem and they keep telling me that im supposed to get it back and they do not understand why it's not working. Can someone help me?😐

Here is what iTunes saves in a backup:

iTunes will back up the following information

But be careful: Camera Roll means those photos and videos that were taken using the iPad's camera. You say you cannot get back your "media files". Were those created using the iPad's camera, or did they come from somewhere else?

If they came from somewhere else, they are not saved in the iTunes backup.
