NHL GameCenter audio sync issues

I have the same problem and also with NBA game time. This problem is also happening on my iPad on both apps. I think it is an issue with iOS 6.1, everything was perfect until I updated. The sound delay here is about 3 seconds!!

Same here. Plenty of things could be the cause. I'll blame the app.

Here's the thing: if you want to get the audio in sync again, FFWD or REW one click, and then quickly hit play. It might take a second or two to start playing, but the A/V should be in sync again - I'll take a manual remote action and a few seconds wait over off-sync audio any day.

And... the goofy part is that it will usually stay that in sync until the next commercial break... it always seems to lose sync during the silent "will be back soon" screen before coming back to the live action.

I've never had good luck with the ATV client. I usually end up streaming from my iPad and watching it on the ATV via AirPlay instead.

I have been experiencing the same problem within the last week and it is driving me crazy. The video loads fine and looks good in HD but the audio is not in sync with the video. I will have to stop and reload the game and it works until there is a commercial than it just happens all over again.

I watched a game last night... still issues, but not that I thought they were going away any time soon. So annoying.

To clarify the workaround:

I've found it is faster recover back to playing video when you hit Back/Rewind and immediately click Play.

Thank you for the solution. "hit Back/Rewind and immediately click Play" worked and now the NHL broadcast I'm watching is in sync.

Even though your solution works, it is still unacceptable that users have to resort to tricks to get the product to work as it should. Hopefully this issue is corrected soon.

Same problem for the past week.. Notice slight audio clipping too while it's going out of sync.

Adding a "me, too" to the conversation. I was having no problems until the latest ATV update. Now the audio for the games falls out of sync with regularity. Very annoying.

Since Apple doesn't always look at the boards, I'd encourage others to do what I did, and submit a bug report directly to Apple:

The more people that submit, the higher they'll make a priority on getting a fix out.

Oddly enough, I'm having zero issues with the game I'm watching tonight. I still doubt that anyone that can make that sort if difference/fix is watching this thread however. I'll chalk it up to the random 1 in 12 games that I can watch trouble-free.

Good news: Seems apple fixed it. 2 nights with no issues with either NHL Game Center and NBA Game Time on Apple TV and iPad. Everything is perfect!!

I wouldn't start celebrating. I think you just caught it on a good deal.

I'll hope for the best, but I don't think it is "fixed".
