How to transfer a recording from iPhone 5 into my Mac

Hello,

I am a new user of the iPhone 5 and unfortunately I have not been successful in transferring a recording I saved in an application on my iPhone into my Mac. I tried storing it in the Dropbox but every time I attempt to do that, I will get a message stating the file is too large. The file size of the recording is 83.30MB.

I used the device to plug my phone into the Mac but unfortunately it doesn't seem to be transferring anything from my iPhone into the Mac.

Any help on this will be greatly appreciated. My goal is to transfer this recording into my Mac so that I could convert it into an MP3 so that the format is compatible to attach in an email and send it to my teacher.
