Problems connecting HP photosmart 3210 all-in-one printer to new macbook pro

Last week I got a new Macbook Pro. I am trying to set up my HP photosmart 3210 all in one printer to be wirelessly connected to my mac and it isn't working. I downloaded a driver for the HP photosmart 3200 series from HP's website. Printer sharing is turned on. The only issue is now, when I try to print, it is put on hold for authentication which I cannot seem to figure out. Where is that username and password supposed to come from?

The printer would be included in the HP Photosmart 3200 series that is listed, and said to have printing and scanning capabilities.

I am in an almost identical situation, except my new MacBook Pro doesn't see the printer at all.

HPs website is of little help because they simply tell you how to get to the part where the computer shows printers it sees, not how to get the computer to see it.
