My granddaughters put some "goofy" pictures of themselves, taken through Picture Booth, onto my iPad 4 (OS6.1). How do I delete them out of my Photos?

Go to the Camera Roll in the photos app. Tap on the photo and then tap the trash can in the upper right corner.

Or if you are in thumbnail view where you can see all of the camera roll photos - tap the Edit button in the upper right - tap on all of the photos that you want to delete - tap the red Delete button in the upper left.

I don't seem to have "Camera Roll" on my iPad - I have "Photos", "Photo Stream", "Albums", "Events" and "Places"

The "goofy" pictures show up in "Photos", but not in "Photo Stream". When I select "Photos", then "Edit" in the top right corner, I can select the picture(s), and there is a greyed out red "Delete" button up toward the left hand corner - but tapping on it does nothingP

OK. Now where exactly did they take these photos? Photo Booth on the iPad or Photo Booth on the Mac?

If the photos were taken with Photo Booth on the iPad, they will be saved to the camera roll album in the photos app. All photos taken with the iPad camera end up in the Camera Roll on the iPad.

If the photos were taken in Photo Booth on your Mac, then they synced the photos to the iPad - maybe it was done without your knowledge - and the only way that the photos can be removed is by unselecting those photos in the Photos Tab of iTunes and then syncing in order to remove them.

You cannot remove synced photos directly on the iPad. You have to unsync them to remove them.

Explanation: - Unfortunately your answer may have helped me - I'm very new to Apple - new iMac, iPad and iPhone since the beginning of January (and, yes, there is a "learning curve" from PCs) - but I was loaned an older iMac laptop for a couple of weeks prior to try to help this curve - and I now think that's when the girls were fooling around!!

Oh well, I'll just have to live with those funny faces. Many thanks for trying to help me.
