    Yikes. That's what I was afraid of. WIll do this after the busy season is over...I remember it took quite a while to do the restore as new when I had to do this after the first 6.0 update and then a really long time to get the phone back in working order.

    Bit the bullet and did the "restore as new". Unfortunately, even with a completely empty and restored as new iPhone, it still showed over 4 GB of "stuff" in the manage storage section.

     

    Set up another Genius Bar appt to see if they can do anything now that I've pretty much exhausted all options. It has to be an issue with the device.

    Apple genius fixed it. Said it possibly had something to do with the flash drive on the device so he did a DFU (firmware) restore which reconfigured the partition as well.

     

    I now have 4.8 GB iCloud storage free.
