Garage band for ipad/iphone crash

Having created a song, the app crashes when I put a drum track on and I can't open the song again - on my ipad I couldn't even open the app as it tried to open the crashed song - on the iphone, I can at least open the app.

I had to reinstall the app on ipad - hours of work lost - please help

GarageBand (iPad), iOS 6.0.2

If GarageBAnd crashes on a current song it may help to reset GarageBand (from the General Settings - scroll down the list of apps to GarageBand). This will usually not save your song project that is crashing, but at least prevent GarageBand from opening on the song that crashes the app and save you the trouble to reinstall.

Do you have a Mac with GarageBand installed? Then you could try to share the song to iTunes to send it to your Mac and try to rescue it on your Mac.
