ipad not seen in itunes

Hello,

I am still using an old iBook G4 with OS 10.5 installed. All my music is on this computer and when I connect my iPad it is not seen by itunes wich version is probably to old. The problem I face is that I can't sync my iPad with this computer since it's impossible to get the latest iTunes installed and it's impossible to get iCloud to work on this computer. I don't care about contacts and calendar since I started everything from scratch on iCloud but I sure would like to be able to transfer the music I bought to my iPad.

I tried to connect to iTunes and redownload the music but it only works with the latests tunes I bought. I can't download the music bought a few years ago.

Is there a way I can transfer the music on my iBook G4 to my iPad without having to buy a new computer?
