how to put Utility folder back in "GO" in finder window?

Don't know how I did it , but my utilities folder is on my desktop instead of inside the "go" section of finder.


finder/ edit /view /go/ window/ help


Must the startup disks be inserted: disk 1, disk 2 ?

Your Utilities folder needs to be inside your Applications folder - that is the correct and default location. If it is there, it will show up in the Go section (which is not the actual location, just a shortcut path to it). So, if it was inadvertently moved to the desktop, drag it back where it should be:

Do a Spotlight search for Utilities. If it shows there, just let the mouse hover over the folder until it shows the path with a yellow tooltip. See if it will open.


If and when it is moved back to its proper location, you must enter /Applications/Utilities in Go to Folder.
