sync problem

Just tried to sync my iPad and iPhone and got this message. The iPad (iPhone) could not be synced because the sync session failed to start.


I have the latest version of iTunes and the latest IOS. Just using the regular sync cable.


Anyone else with this problem?

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion, 27 inch 3.4 GHz i7, 8BG, 1TB
