Sync a ebook/pdf playlist with an ipad?

Hello!

I was wondering if there was any way to sync an ebook/pdf playlist with an iPad through iTunes. I see that playlists full of music and movies can be synced this way, but it looks like every ePub/pdf needs to be selected individually.

I have a large library, and I don't necessarily want all of my books on my iPad, only certain books that I have playlists made for.
