So I need to update my iphone to the new iOS 6.1 but when I try to update to iTunes 11.0.1 it comes up saying this: 'Errors Occured while installing the updates. If the problem persists, Choose Tools>Download Only and try installing manually'. It wont install manually and I tried using iTunes64setup.exe and that didn't work either.. I don't know what to do now and I'm not great with computers..please help!

Do you get a different error message when using that installer? If so, what does it say? (Precise text, please.)
When I try the installer, it says "Errors occured during installation before iTunes could be configured. Your system has not been modified. To complete the installation, run the installer again." It happens every time I try it.
Just in case, try right-clicking on the installer file and selecting "Run as administrator". Any better luck then?
I don't know why I can't see your latest reply on here.. but I got it through my email. Anyways, tried running it as an administrator like you said and it did the same thing.. I'm thinking I might have to just uninstall and then reinstall iTunes.. I've tried that before though and there were errors there as well..
It takes a bit but it worked for me,
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
iTunes won't update to 11.0.1
