Question

unable to log in on ipad and to recieve mail

since a few days i'm not able to log in on icloud on my ipad, and i can't receive mails on my mac via mail.

in mail my icloud account is offline, it is not possible to go online, mail cannot connect to the server.

i didn' t change any of my settings, passwords or else, i am able to log in on the icloud-website on my mac and read my mails, but when i try to log in on the ipad with the exact same username und password it's not possible.

i am able to use the "find my iphone" app on my ipad, when i search it with my mac it responds.

very strange, very annoying, no idea.

Hi Wolfgang,

When you say it it not possible - what do you mean? Are you getting an error? What happens when you try to log on to iCloud on your iPad?

i just edited my message, i noticed it is confusing, sorry for my english 😉

i can login on the icloud-website on my mac and read emails etc.

i can't login on my ipad. it says, the account is not available or the login data is incorrect.

mail on my ipad can't connect to the icloud-server and receive emails.

mail on my mac can't connect to the icloud-server and receive emails.

but: i just tried, i am able to send emails via my icloud-mail account on my mac.

i solved the problem - i called apple support and after an hour of try and error an expert told me to restart my w-lan router and my time capsule. it worked…

didn't think of the router to block my mail-account, but it did.
