Torx screwdriver to use for hard drive screws on TiBk?

I have a 500 MHz TiBk and I'm upgrading to a 100 GB Seagate 7200 from the original 20 GB. As the original instructions with the computer indicated, I removed the 8 Phillips screws with a size 1 screwdriver, then removed the back of the TiBk. I was then going to remove the two screws that hold in the harddrive with a size 1 Phillips screwdriver, as the instructions then indicate. No luck - the head isn't a Phillips! Reading Colins note on a different thread now suggests to me that these are Torx screws and not Phillips. Can anyone tell me what size Torx I need to get? Colins email suggests its Torx 8. But I want to make sure before I go to the store. Will Radioshack have this type of screwdriver or a typical hardware store?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi, Lynette. Yes, what you need is a Torx T8 driver. That's smaller than you'll find in most big-box stores' hardware departments, though T-10, T-15 and larger drivers are easy to find at many of those. Any real, old-time hardware store worth its salt will have smaller Torx drivers or bits, though. Try the local Mom & Pop hardware store that Wal-Mart is about to put out of business, and they'll be able to help you.
