Annoying image in header of outgoing mail

My outgoing e-mail messages contain the image of a soccer ball in the header area. I cannot seem to remove it, and I find it very annoying (Disclaimer - I like soccer a lot but do not need a soccer ball on my e-mails). Can anyone help me rid my e-mail messages of this blight?

You selected this at System Preferences > Accounts under the Picture tab for your login account preferences.

It is easy to select from an Apple picture here but not as easy to remove it from the same location.

Launch Address Book and locate your contact information. Select Edit and select the "Me" picture next to your name and then select the Delete key.

Not to worry, this was not sent with any of your messages.
