I have shattered my ipad screen, can it be repaired?

Please can you tell me how I go about getting my ipad repaired - I have dropped it and broken the screen. If possible I would prefer to send to somewhere as I live a long way from a store. Also What will it cost to repair?

Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours.

You can go to a store or send it to Apple. See:

Thank you but sadly it is an iPad3 that is busted not an ipod so cost will be different and I assume the options may be too?

Out-of-Warranty Service

If you own an iPad that is ineligible for warranty service but is eligible for Out-of-Warranty (OOW) Service, Apple will replace your iPad with an iPad that is new or equivalent to new in both performance and reliability for the Out-of-Warranty Service fee listed below.
