How do I restore Applications folder to my Doc?

How do I restore Applications folder to my Doc? I do not have an Applications folder in my Finder window (only one for Windows Applications since I run Parallels).

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.4)

- click the word "finder" beside the apple, then choose "preferences"

- along the top of the "preferences" window, select "sidebar"

- check off "applictions"

This will then show the applications listed in the left column of the finder window.

Now, simply grab the word "applications" in the left column of the finder window, and slowly drag it to the right side of your dock, near your trash.

An alternative method:

Open up the Macintosh HD (or whatever you've named it)**. Drag the Applications folder to the right side of Dock, wait for a space to form, then drop it there.

**One way to do this is:

(1) Finder Go menu

(2) Go to Folder...

(3) Enter / (yes, just the slash), press return.

(4) In the resulting Finder window you will see the Applications folder.
