I've had my iMac going on 2 years now, but recently I've started getting this pop-up non-stop for no apparent reason and it's more than frusterating. It happens basically every time I go to any webpage - but it never used to! Why is this happening now?

Hi, did you change your login Password lately?
Nope - no password changes. And it seems to pop up on sites that have nothing to do with passwords either.
Are you using Little Snitch?

no. I saw that in some other tread too, but I've never even heard of it before.
Did you try the 2nd one?
yea I did, but it wasn't this. It stopped a few weeks ago after I did something small and seemingly unrelated, but I forget exactly what. I believe it was run a general update or maybe just a simple restart... and then it no longer happened.
