Numbers- How to copy cells incl borders

I suggest selecting the cell that has the border information you want to copy, then use the menu item "Format > Copy Style", then select the destination cell then select the menu item "Format > Paste Style"

Thanks Wayne but it doesn't work for me. Using the above routine just copies and pastes the borders of one cell... no contents either.

I have got around it by going into pages and pasting it there and it works beautifully. So it obviously copies both contents and borders but why wont it paste them back into numbers?

I should have been more clear. If you want to copy the formatting of ONE cell, select ONE cell.

If you want to copy MANY cells, select MANY cell.

Posting a screenshot of what you are trying to copy may be helpful
