I have the Imac restore disk but how I install it now?

When I put the disk into the computer and start it up, I just get a white screen with an apple. Nothing else happens.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7)

As babowa has pointed out, your profile says you're running Lion, and there is no disk for it.

If it's true you're running Lion, you'll need to boot up holding down the Command and R keys until you see the Apple logo. This puts you into the Recovery partition, where you can run Disk Utility to repair your disk, repair permissions, or reinstall Lion.

I was ready to give up. I had spoken to Apple Care and they thought it may be that the bluetooth keyboard wasn't being picked up by the computer since the computer was now a complete blank slate. So I ran out and got a USB keyboard and I still could not get it working.

I was unable to even eject the disk to find out what recovery one it was.

But then I read the last two messages and did the Command & R and it's repairing my drive. Thank you guys so much.
