Anyone know how to reduce the magnification to off - which just appeared on my
my safari mailbox list (type if huge) for all my mail in boxes and folders

Try going to view in mail click view, at the bottom click use small mailbox icons. Hope this helps.

The mail boxes are now smaller - but the mail box header names fonts size still huge!
try goinin to system preferenes>unversal access und unclikcing evrything.
Also try going to mail preferences>fonts & colors and try changing the sizes there.

Did all your suggested tasks - not sure what actually fixed it maybe all of them.
You could also adjust from the same place, different method. Scren shots are out of order 2,1,3 double click on 11 (last shot)
