Aplibrary won't open

I have a Vault of 42G that won't open -- I clicked on it and changed the Vault name to Aplibrary and it did create an ApLibrary but it's ver. 3.0.1 and won't open in my version 3.4.3.- keep being told to upgrade but when I do get a warning notice == I did create a test aplibrary by importing/opening the VAult [it's been a few days and cant' recall precisely] and that won't upgrade either.
