When I try to update the Java in my mac os x 10.6.8 using the Software Update, I get the message:
The update “Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 12” can’t be installed.
A network error has occurred. Check your Internet connection, and then try again.
What's going on? What should I do?

I am unable to install this update. Does anyone have any advice? I have always had weird issues when it comes to updating. Currently running Snow Leopard 10.6.8. Error message is this:

Just an update, I fixed the problem. I went into the folder /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions and it states in the code that the error is in CurrentJDK. The file that was labeled CurrentJDK was not even a folder, it was a blank link with no program that could open it. I deleted this file and reinstalled and it installed the update and a new CurrentJDK folder without a hitch. Hope this helps someone out there with the same problem.
