macbook pro 2011 battery dead , not heating any more,no fan sounds,

hi

I don't know if its becuse of the new operating system upgrade or for any other reason.

but my mackbook pro used to heat up once in a while and the battery used to work.

couple of days ago iv noticed that battery time has dramatically shorten, and then after a weeks time

the battery went completely dead! x mark on the battery icon. also , the computer has stopped heating up.

does not make any fan sounds. and CPU seems to run very high from using regular app's like chrome or even media player.

when i remove the power cable the computer shuts down immediately and when starting again the date is set to 2001.

what can be the problem? i only have it running for less then 1.5 years!

it feels like im running a disabled computer. deffintly not a macbook pro... :-(((

does anybody know what is the reason for that and how can it be solved?

thanks...

MacBook Pro (15-inch Early 2011), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8)

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities

First, reset the SMC > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964 Also, do the same with the PRAM > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379?viewlocale=en_US

Probably, your problem is hardware-related (logic board), so if the PRAM and SMC reset don't work, you have to take the computer to an Apple Store. Make a backup of your data before taking it
