iphone calendar doesn't sync - doesn't compile note details between computer and phone

I tested this out before I synced my phone.

On my computer I created a new entry - titled "Its like"

and did the same thing on my phone.

I made the time and calendar the same.

In the notes on the computer version i entered "it's like this"

on the phone I entered "It's like that"

upon completion of syncing, neither the phone calendar or the laptop calendar added the

other note information.

Is this something that just doesn't happen with calendar syncing? If not, it should be.

Sometimes I enter extra note data on the computer and after the fact, I might add something more via my phone

future syncs you'd expect it to add it all on both.
