How do I stop PhotoStream from halving the resolution of iOS screenshots?

Screenshots taken in iOS on a retina iPhone are importing into Aperture at half the resolution. Is there any way to get them to import at their native resolution? When I connect the iPhone to the computer via a cable and import the image the 'old fasioned' way the image is at its full retina glory.
