Trouble down loeading free Apps on a new iphone5

I can not downloead free apps onto my Iphone5, I am a first time user, but every time I add my password and Id it keeps coming up , error.

Any suggestions?

I have tried to open my itunes match, but I do not want my credit card details left on the Store's memory.

Is this my problem?
