Turbotax in app store says i need to update to Mac OS X 10.8.2

Turbotax in app store says i need to update my macbook pro to Mac OS X 10.8.2, and when I go to Software Update on my apple button to upgrade from my OS X 10.6.8 nothing appears as needing to be updated except iPhoto. What do I need to do so my Macbook recognizes or can download the latestest system update?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

If you need to upgrade to Mountain Lion:

To use iCloud you have to upgrade at least to Lion, but some functions are only available in Mountain Lion:

You can also purchase the code to use to download Lion (Lion requires an Intel-based Mac with a Core 2 Duo, i3, i5, i7 or Xeon processor and 2GB of RAM, running the latest version of Snow Leopard), or you can purchase Mountain Lion from the App Store - if you can run that:

While Mountain Lion is a paid upgrade from 10.6.8, you may not need it. Check out this thread, which contains responses from a TurboTax VP: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4400245?start=0&tstart=0. Your OS is already adequate for TurboTax, just not the App Store version. Moreover, if you read the Customer Reviews, it looks like the free version isn't so free after all.
