Bipin Bhagat Level 1 Level 1

I have  a Macbook 13" Mid 2010. Earlier I was using Snow leopard and later I have upgraded it to Mountain Lion. After the upgradation, my Macbook has become very slow and sometimes totally unresponsive.

Please assist.

Although the specs for Mountain Lion say it will run on 2 GB of ram, you really need 4 GB to run well.  You can look at Launchpad > Utilities > Activity Monitor to see the memory usage with software open.  If there are a lot of page swaps, in and out, you need more memory.

Good sources are OWC and Crucial for guaranteed compatible memory.

Age with Ralph, 2 GB isn't enough to run ML comfortably. Have a look at this page about how to use activity monitor
