I just migrated to a new iMac and Aperture is requesting the original serial number. I only have Aperture v3 upgrade disks and upgrade serial number. Can't find my original Aperture 2 disk and packaging anywhere. Help? Is there a work around? Does Apple keep this info from when I originally purchased Aperture 2 and registered it with them?

Apple can help you here. But they will need to be convinced you have a legitimate license to Aperture. Can you find purchase receipt for Aperture 2?
Is the original system still running? You might be bale to use the serial number that shows up when you do Aperture->About Aperture.
Not sure what shows up there in an upgrade situation.
I just checked mine. If Aperture 3 was an upgrade, the About Aperture box only shows the upgrade S/N. You still need to find the Aperture 1 or 2 S/N to do a clean install.
