Profile Manager and Active Directory computer groups

Hi,

How come I cannot push Profiles to devices from Active Directory computer groups, only user groups?

As you can see in the image, I have a "Users" group that pushes Profiles to users successfully. I also have a "Computers" group that contains the Mac computers authenticated to Active Directory, but it displays "No Members" and the Profile payloads won't push to devices.

Does Profile Manager not support pushing Profiles to AD Computer groups?

First you need to join Network Account Server

system preferences --> users & groups --> login options --> network Account server

Could you elaborate? I have of course joined Active Directory, on both the Mac client and the Mac server. The groups you see in the above screenshot are AD groups.

Have you enabled Device Management in Profile Manager? This is necessary to manage at the device/devicegroup level. It will create its own Open Directory master in the process.

Hi Timothy,

Thanks for your reply. Where do I enable Device Management in Profile Manager? I can't find a setting for it.

For what its worth, it seems to have already created an Open Directory master.

EDIT: Nevermind, I'm blind. Device Management is enabled.
