I had installed OS X Server on my MacBook and it was working fine. Then I installed a trial version of AdmitMac to test the active directory client capabilities. Now my OS X Server is messed up. I can't set up device management, so I want to completely uninstall and reinstall. Has anyone done that?
To uninstall Mac OS X Server for Mountain Lion, simply remove Server.app from the Applications folder.
This will cause it to shutdown and uninstall all the server pieces.
Start Server.
Turn off all services.
Quit Server.
Drag Applications/Server to the Trash.
An alert will ask if you want to remove Server. Say yes.
Drag Library/Server to the Trash.
Restart.
If you just want to reinstall Server.app from scratch, then issue this command in Terminal:
sudo rm /var/db/.ServerSetupDoneNow when you launch Server.app, it'll go through the install wizard again.
