Snow leopard keep indexing and spinning beachball

Hello



Could someone give me solution

My Snow leopard keep indexing althought it said indexing volume (98% done)
and keep getting the spinning beachball.


I have tried repair disk permition, sudo mdutil, clear cache and reinstall osx, none of them help.


Please help me

Sounds like a problem with your files someplace.


Backup your files off the machine/disconnect and this reinstall the OS again, but before you do, select Disk Utility and the Secure Erase > Zero option on the entire hard drive at the top, it will take a bit to finish.


Reinstall OS X, then programs from fresh sources (make sure you can) and move files over gradually and see which where your problem occurs with what.
