OS 10.7.5, iPhoto 9.4.2, iOS 6.1, iPad 2
Have this issue with two different iPads on different MacBooks. Also used OEM and other sync cable
I plug the iPad in to import into iPhoto. It comes up under Devices but shows no photos to import. This also happens using Image Capture.
It seems like this would be something simple like a preference. Am I missing something?

I see that. I'm using an iPad 2 running iOS 6.1. I'm trying to import photos from the iPad. I see them in my Photos app but not when I plug it into iPhoto.

Can you access it from other machines? Have these photos been processed in any way?
The photos haven't been processed in anyway. They were taken using the Camera app. I'm not able to access it on other MacBooks.
Then that sounds more like an iPad than an iPhoto problem. I'd ask on the iPad forum.
Have you tried using Image Capture to upload the photos from the iPad to a folder on the Desktop?
