Studio brush kit

I went to put the final touches on my project by choosing the Studio Brush Kit and adding the snare brush sounds. To my frustration, the brushes can barely be heard!! I have the input up all the way up as well as the kit sound itself. What's up! I hope I don't have to hire out a drummer for this!!

...Any suggestions out in Logic land...

Thanks much! The gain plugin gave it much more headroom! Now that I can hear it better I kinda wish I had a good sample of many brush snare patterns. Is there any product out there that perhaps is best suited for jazz production??? A killer drum plugin or something?

Thanks chorleyman

There are a few third party drums plug-ins, such as Toontrack's EZDrummer/Superior Drummer, Steven Slate Drums (I use both those) and Addictive Drums which have brush kits (usually as an additional purchase for that kind of kit). They're not particularly cheap, but they are very good - they also include a number of short MIDI files of beats and fills recorded by a real drummer, which are pretty impossible to replicate by inputting the notes from a keyboard or manually - if you google them, the information on them is easily available.
