My PC wants me to format the nano. Will this cause all the existing data to be wiped out and the Mac reformatted to work on that computer again?

Restoring the iPod will erase its contents; an iPod shouldn't be formatted outside of the restoration process.

It will, but won't sync as fast as a Mac formatted model.

Niel, does this mean a PC (Windows 7) formatted ipod nano can be synched on a Mac (with songs, etc.) and comingled with data previously synched from the PC? What I would like to do is download into the ipod nano stuff from both the PC and the Mac with the PC being the primary computer connected to the nano.
