When did iPhoto disappear?

When did iPhoto disappear? I have it in 10.6, but it looks like it disappeared with 10.7. Anyone? If I upgrade, what happens to my iPhoto library?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

iPhoto hasn't been an OS component since Mac OS X 10.3 but is preserved if an earlier OS is upgraded as opposed to a frsh install being performed. This also applies to the iPhoto library; back it up anyway.

If you make an upgrade to OS X Lion or OS X Mountain Lion, you will keep all your compatible applications. However, if you erase the disk to install OS X or you have a non-compatible version, it will be removed from your Mac because OS X doesn't include iPhoto preinstalled.

To reinstall iPhoto, insert the Applications disc that came with your Mac or the iLife DVD and reinstall iPhoto. Finally, open  > Software Update to install the latest version
