Q: App Store Missing Previously Purchased Final Cut Pro X App

Purchased FCPX 10.0 on my iMac, and now i want a copy on my macBook Pro. I do not have the imac any longer... when I go to itunes under purchases, it does not show up to re-downlaod... but my compressor an motion do (purchased at the same time). ??? Why is it not showing up for re-download? do i have to de-license on the other iMac?

You need to look in the Mac App Store not iTunes.

I find it most impressing if you can find Motion & Compressor in the iTunes App Store.. !

Apple menu: App Store, is where you would want to look!

If not there, while logged in with the same AppleID used to purchace it, contact Apple!

Not iTunes Store that's for music, movie and app for iPads...

In order to see the purchases you must go on Mac App Store as that's for apps that are for computers...
But you must log in with your Apple ID

Move the application to the trash and try again. You are logged into the store with the Apple ID that purchased the application? Does the application appeared in the purchased page?

the imac does not belong to me anymore... but i paid for the software and left it on that imac. i can not see if i am logged in there, but i know the person who has the imac... so i guess i could have them log in or off as me? the screen grab above is from my powerbook which is where i am trying to download...

The only thing that matters is the Apple ID that is used to log into the store not the machine. If you've logged in using the Apple ID that purchased the software you will see it in the purchased page. You cannot sell the software BTW. You probably need to contact the App Store.
