can I put an icon of another email account on my iphone (in addition to my primary)

I have an iphone 4S with my primary email account as Yahoo (when I tap on the email icon at the bottom the screen, it brings me directly to yahoo). I also have a hotmail account. I want to know if I can have the hotmail account directly accessed from my phone (without having to go through Safari every time) by placing an icon on the desktop. If I can, how do I do this?
