I'm miffed by this. I have been backing up to this computer on a regular basis, but occassionally iTunes asks me for my passcode.
Any ideas as to why?

Well, in case anyone was wondering about this - turns out that every time after a fresh reboot of your iOS Device, iTunes will ask you to enter your passcode (of course, assuming that your phone is passcode locked when you connect it ot iTunes).
