I can't transfer ringtones from my computer to my iphone

Sup guys.

I have some ringtones that I made, and they are in M4R format. I've also uploaded them into my itunes playlist folder and tried making AAC versions, and none show up in my ringtones list.

How do I make this work?

iPhone 4, iOS 5.0.1, Jailbroken Custom ROM
