When I open itunes I cannot see the usual front page, can anyone suggest where it has gone and how to sync my ipad and phone with the computer.

Not sure which view you consider to be the "usual" one, but try tapping on Music on the bottom left, then All Genres at the top left. See if that's the view you're looking for.
Thanks for your reply. When I look at the screen Music is in top left corner and when I tap on it all I get is the library. Specifically I am looking for the photos section so I can synchronize with my ipad, and in doing that change which photos I actually have on it as some need to be removed. It doesn't appear anywhere. Is this part of the new look itunes people seem to be talking about?
Sorry, I thought you meant the iTunes app on your iPad. In iTunes on your computer, to access the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings (along with the other tabs) you have to first connect your iPad to your commputer, then click on the name of your iPad on the top right.

many thanks, that was just what I needed. Even the top menu with view in it was hidden. Why do they do this to us?
