Broken does not mean that the device fell and the WiFI receiver broke in two. The receiver could simply have become defunct due to an unexpected short-circuit or due to other problem due to faulty fabrication which could have only come about now. You would definately need to take your iPhone to the nearest Apple Store for reapair or replacement.

That tip covers all of the software issues that can cause WiFi problems. If it isn't a software issue what conclusions can you draw?

It's probably intermittent because it works until the chip heats up. As a test put it in a freezer for 15 minutes in a sealed plastic bag to prevent condensation. I bet it will work for a while after you take it out.

How do I replace my iPhone when we don't have an Apple store in Nigeria?!

Do I have to travel thousand of miles that cost thousands of Dollars, to get a a $750 phone replaced? I wish you can see my frustration and anger. How do I cope with that? Even if there is a way out, i can't possibly bemefit from it. This is my point. Thanks for getting in touch anyway.

@Koonlay, I saw your last post in my email alerts, but it has not appeared in the forum for some reason. I'll quote it:

What if I'm willing to pay for the cost of servicing even if the device is under warranty? I won't mind the cost. It's better done by paying extra than have a phone you can't use.

If the repairs will be done in Nigeria, then I'm willing to pay in order to have my device back. Please help?

It's likely that there are local non-Apple shops in Nigeria that repair iPhones. One of them may be your best bet. I believe the WiFi chip can be replaced, and it is a standard part. It will void your warranty, but the warranty isn't that useful to you anyway.
