How many usage hours can I get expect to average from my iPad 4 if I only use it for emails and web. I only watch videos for 30 seconds or a couple minutes and that is very rare. Most of the usage is web based news, reading etc. it takes a minimum of 6 hours to charge the ipad is that normal.

I get 9-10 hours a day out of a full charge. I use my iPad at work every day much in the same manner that you are describing....emails, web surfing, ordering from vendors online, some light word processing in Pages. I will catch the news or sports updates a couple of times a day and watch a couple of videos that are in the newscasts and every now then listen to iHeart radio or anothe radio app.
For the most part I am using the iPad as you are describing the way you want to use it.
