I hope someone can help me. These are all pictures of my kids and i do not want to lose them!

Now, when i try clicking on import photos, it gives me a message that says, "iPhoto cannot import your photos because there was a problem downloading an image." help!
Why are you hitting Delete in Image Capture if you don't want to lose the photos? Explain your workflow in detail.
Can you download the image files from the the camera to a folder on the Desktop with Image Capture? That would be the #1 priority - to get them safely on the hard drive. If you can then reformat the memory card in the camera and try downloading again. It could be a damaged memory card.

What can I do if I hit delete in Image Capture only to find afterwards that I received a "not sufficient disk space" message? I do have sufficient disk space, i believe.
